A typical data acquisition system consists of a weatherproof lockable enclosure in which all electronic components are housed. The heart of the data acquisition system is the data logger itself, motherboard multiplexer determines the maximum amount of sensors that can be connected. All data acquisition systems are custom built to requirements of the project and equipped with either a GSM modem, Converter serial to fiber, TCP/IP interface, RS485 network interface or a direct RS232 connection to the computer or local network. The data logger has to be programmed in order to read all sensors correctly. The data are stored in the loggers' internal memory and retrieved by a PC running the datalogger interrogation software. The measurement data will be stored in ASCII files on the PC, which can be processed by other applications. Upon request additional software such as “Contech data acquisition” monitoring software is available to process and display the data on the internet or local office network.

Use and applications :

Recording readout for pluck-type vibrating wire sensors (Gallileo, Maihak, Interfels etc, ..) including temperature sensor (thermistor or RTD). Simple to operate, the recorder stores the readings and can transfer them to a PC for processing with a spreadsheet.
